Universal Services

Our Universal Services ensure that our work supports the whole community as well as providing progression routes for our targeted young people who we engage on an intensive basis, therefore providing on-going support. These services promote personal achievement, social skills, team work and in due course help young people to challenge their own behaviour and be prepared for the world of work, and assist in diverting young people away from criminal activities.

Our universal services aim to:

  • Give young people positive activities to take part in, thus diverting them away from criminal and antisocial behaviour.
  • Develop a sense of confidence, independence and self-esteem for participants.
  • Give the young person the opportunity to have a different experience and to leave the often disruptive or neglectful home environments in which they currently live.
  • Help the young person to develop independent living and social skills through interaction with other young people in similar circumstances. We achieve this work through:
    Residential Trips
    Youth Clubs
    School Holiday Provision
Schools Work (Assemblies, PSHE lessons, Outreach/roadshows)
    Workshops
    Youth Special Events
